Advice on workplace pensions and pension auto-enrolment…

Pension auto enrolment is being introduced in the UK as part of the Governments workplace pension reform strategy. It was first introduced in October 2012 for the largest employers but all UK employers are legally obliged to act by April 2017.

Employers must assess their workforce and automatically enrol all eligible employees into a qualifying workplace pension scheme. They will need to choose a suitable scheme and administer the process, keeping relevant records.

With this pension legislation comes fines for non compliance, a number of which have already been issued.
